During the late Summer of 1929 The Associated Majestic Radio Dealers of Rhode Island held a contest called "Miss Majestic". This was a beauty contest with grand prize being a Majestic Electric set pictured in their ads about the event.

Miss Hilda Wagner was in the lead throughout the contest until the very end when Miss Florence La Plante upset the prediction and took the lead. In the end however, Miss Hilda Wagner ended up winning the contest.
